The 2012 Games-related tourism objectives for Wales are as follows: Wales Brand We will work with VisitBritain to ensure that the media focus on Britain in the run up to and during the Games is translated into image and awareness benefits for Wales. We will exploit specific media opportunities linked to Wales hosting of Olympic football and Pre-Games Training camps. We will proactively exploit opportunities linked to the Cultural Olympiad to tell the Wales 'brand story' and to promote a powerful and contemporary image of Wales to the World. Wales Welcome We will give work & employment skills a 2012 Games and Ryder Cup focus to expand the opportunities for local people to take up employment and to contribute to the wider up-skilling of the national tourism workforce and hence the quality of the ‘Welsh Welcome’. Quality We will significantly improve consumer confidence in the quality of tourist accommodation by using a 2012 Games and Ryder Cup focus to promote grading schemes and disability access criteria. Visitor Economy We will proactively seek specific opportunities to boost visitor numbers to Wales through 2012 Games related activity, including Pre-Games training camps.
