Delivering the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games will require the procurement of goods, works and services from an enormous range of firms.

London 2012 will directly buy and manage a comparatively small number of contracts with Tier One suppliers or contractors. This in turn will form supply chains of around 75,000 opportunities covering many different industries, including tourism and hospitality.

A business network called Compete For has been set up for the publication of Games-related contract opportunities. It is worth registering your company on the website to view the procurement opportunities available.

It is also worth researching who already holds contracts with London 2012 in your area. London 2012 has already signed well over 1,000 contracts with suppliers. Most opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) will come further down this supply chain. Perhaps you have an existing relationship with a company that has been awarded a contract or there are opportunities to collaborate.

Aside from contracts, there are a number of other ways you can get involved with London 2012, including Live Sites or the London 2012 Festival.
